Fiber Protection Systems (FPS) is a boutique service that specializes in applying protective treatments to fine furnishings and textiles. Founded on the premise that people who truly invest in their interiors will want to care for them responsibly, FPS focuses on the long-term care and maintenance of all textiles used in or outside the home. This approach is highlighted by customized follow-on care that utilizes a preventative maintenance approach designed to avoid any heavy duty, restorative cleaning that can easily damage fine furnishings.
Preserving the integrity of high-end textiles begins with the protector. In order to ensure each project is a success, FPS works closely with interior designers, homeowners, and homeowner representatives/personal assistants to select the best treatment and care options available. We never take a one-size fits all approach.
Our primary service area is southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, although service is also provided in the Boston and Rhode Island regions. Being located on upper Cape Cod allows for an easy response to all parts of our service area, including the Islands.
FPS is owned and operated by David Moynihan. David is an IICRC Certified Master Textile Cleaner, owns and operates a fine fabric cleaning service, and has trained with the industry’s foremost expert to become a fine fabric specialist. Additionally, David continues to expand his knowledge of textiles through networking with industry professionals and continuing education courses.
Prior to entering the textile cleaning and care industry, David served 20 years in the U.S. Coast Guard. He holds a MBA, with honors, from Northeastern University and a B.S., Management from Lesley University.
